Calcium Bromide Liquor is a single-salt solution, ready-to-use, to form clear brine workover and completion fluids that require densities from 8.4 to 14.2 lb/gal. Calcium Bromide is used alone or mixed with Calcium Chloride and/or Zinc/Calcium Bromide to achieve a clear, solids-free fluid over a wide range of densities and crystallization temperatures. It provides inhibition, preventing the hydration and migration of swelling clays, and can be used as packer fluids or to adjust the density of other brine systems. It may also be used in the aqueous phase of invert emulsion systems.
Calcium Bromide Content: 52%
Molecular Weight: 199.89
PE Drums: 55G/340 kg net weight
IBCs: 1.70 MT net weight
Calcium Bromide provides inhibition characteristics to the fluids by preventing hydration and migration of swellable clays.
Wide compatibility with most oilfields used elastomers.
It can be blended with other divalent salts (like Zinc Bromide, Calcium Chloride or Polyols, etc.) to achieve specific properties, densities, and crystallization temperatures.
